Death knocking on the door or WTF was I doing…

3:50 AM

I was laying there on the bench in my coveralls, contemplating quitting the crappy job that I had been doing for some time.  I remember listening to the jackasses (coworkers) talking some type of bull.  The bench I was laying on was across from the building that I worked at, but within the same confines of the lot.  I do not remember the specifics of my daydreaming, but I know if had to do with leaving for something else, anything else.

The next thing that I hear is an engine revving at an awful scream and the screeching of spinning tires.  I look up and there is a car, white sedan, going as fast as it can towards the closed roll up door of the building I usually work in.  It hit right past the roll up door in between it and the standard entry door.  It exploded on impact, just as in the movies.  I was in awe.  Then something that really took me by surprise was that the three occupants of the car got out with bats in their hands.

While this was happening, I do remember thinking that it was about time my coworkers had pissed someone off so bad that this would happen.

So the three guys get out of the car and I could see and hear the anger in their actions and voices.  They were not screaming, but yelling some sort of obscenities, I believe that they were upset that the doors on the building had been closed and they couldn’t drive the car into the building as they had wanted to.

As I was witnessing this happen, at some point I realized that I should take cover, not from the explosion, but from the explosion of the men that jumped out of the car.  I jumped on the other side of the bench and felt that I had adequate shielding from their view.  As they were running from the car to go around the outside of the building, they saw me.

At this point, the sky was dark, yet the orange glow from the fire of the car made everything around me look like a war zone.  As I see their silhouettes running, they spot me.  I see them running towards me and shouting madly.  As they turned the corner around the bench to my hiding spot, they raised their bats.  At this point I could see the death in their eyes as the bats were coming down upon me.

Before I felt the full pain and the smell of my fear of my dying, I woke up.

There I was, very disoriented and in the dark.  Still very panicked, I realize that I am in my dark room lying on my bed.

Just a dream.  You know, I do not really like dreams that end like this.
