What a time

6 10 2009

Well, as some of you may know, there is a lot going on in my life.  But some of the good things are that I have been doing are a bunch of exercising and mountain biking.  I have made several trips to Granite Bay @ Folsom Lake and this weekend I pushed myself to 17 miles.  I have currently dropped to 202 pounds, from 227, and my goal is 195 before Turkey Day and then hopefully 175 around April or May.  Not a fad diet, but trying to change my lifestyle.  I used to be on the see-food diet, but found that I was really good at that one.  Too good in fact.  So now I am counting calories and trying to exercise as much as possible.  I have a friend at work that has been helping out too, we walk 1.33 miles every morning.  If you head over to my Flickr site, you will see that I have been able to ride the bike and take pictures.  It has only been with my enV camera phone, but still I have been able to take pictures.  One day I will take the Rebel out there, but that will be a lot to ride with.

On the beer front, I have found a very cheap wheat beer that is not to bad.  BL Golden Wheat.  I know what you are going to say, but I am on a diet (in more ways then one) and this fits the bill.  It is not Blue Moon or even my new favorite Sunset Wheat, but I think that for what it is, it is good.

On the wine front, I was craving a Napa Cab today, but did not want to spend any big dollars.  I was over at Belair and they had a 2006 Castle Rock Cabernet Sauvignon on sale for 7.99.  So I picked up a bottle.  I do recommend this one!  When it comes to a good cab, there is always a difference between Napa and everything else.

If you are interested in Mountain Biking with me, then drop me a line.  I have been going on Sunday’s at 9:00 AM.  I am also looking to go somewhere different.  I do not want to get burnt out on Granite Bay.  Hopefully I will be able to ride this weekend.  My left arm has been hurting real bad today, and in fact it has hurt just to write this out.  I know TMI.

Good night,

~Wavy

I found it, the Fruity Pebbles beer!

16 08 2009

I was at this cool new place on Friday, Manderes hanging out having calamari and drinking beer.  I know I know, WavyDavey drinks beer!?! Anyways, I love wheat bears and was trying anything new on the menu that I had not had before, easy to do at this place!  After the first one, that I do not remember the name of, I had a Leinenkugel’s Sunset Wheat.  Wow, talk about a different beer, this thing smells and tastes like fruity pebbles.  Do not get all bent and tell your self it is just a gimmick, you need to try one!  I found them at Raley’s and was very excited.

Happy Drinking,

~Wavy
